What is PPO?
PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization and is the most common form of insurance. PPOs provide members with a list of participating dentists to choose from. The dentists listed have agreed to lower fee schedules to provide you with greater cost savings.
PPOs assist with insurance billings and most insurance companies pay 50% on major treatments like crowns, bridges, and partials, 80% for basic/fundamental dental care like fillings, and up to 100% for preventative care like exams, x-rays, and basic cleanings. Annual maximums generally range from $1,000 to $2,000.
